Professional Lash Lifting: The Technique Explained
Lash lifting is the process of permanently reshaping each individual natural lash so it holds a curled, upward position. At Iconbrows in Humber Bay Shores, lash lifting in Toronto is done using silicone curl pads and a two-step keratin formula, first to break the lash bond and reshape it, then to lock the new curl in place. The entire process takes 45 to 60 minutes and the shape holds for 6 to 8 weeks through water, heat and sleep.
The angle of the lift matters more than most clients realise. Lashes that point straight out look longer and more open than lashes that point upward at a 90-degree angle. Tara selects the rod size and placement to give each client a curl that flatters their eye shape, opening the eye and giving the impression of length rather than simply pushing the lash upward.

Lash lifting delivers the most dramatic results on lashes that are naturally straight, downward-facing, or medium length. For very short or sparse lashes, we will be honest at consultation: the lift may be less impactful and extensions could serve you better.
