Nano Brows lasts up to 1 to 2 years depending on your skin type, hygiene and makeup routine. A Perfecting Touch Up within 3 to 5 weeks ensures the best lasting result.

Neither is better, they suit different skin types. Nano Brows is gentler and works on more skin types including sensitive and slightly oily skin, while microblading is best for normal to dry skin. We help you choose the right one in your consultation.

What is the Nano Brows process like?

The entire Iconbrows Nano Brows process takes around 2 to 3 hours and there is no downtime. We apply a numbing agent before the procedure and give you aftercare instructions to help your brows heal beautifully before your Perfecting Touch Up. Please follow those instructions carefully to avoid infection. The process steps are: We start with basic paperwork to review your medical history and confirm you are a good candidate. You can also pre-fill this information via our online forms. We begin the design consultation, discussing your preferences and wants. We map out a shape and design incorporating your input and our advice. Every person has a unique brow shape. We account for your individual features to create the right design for you. We advise making brows slightly bigger and darker as they will fade and shrink by 20 to 30% during your body's natural healing process. After you review and approve the mapped shape we begin the Nano Brows process. We will not start until you approve. We make precise hairline strokes into the upper epidermal layer over the remainder of the session. We clean up the area and hand you a mirror to inspect the finished result. We close your appointment with aftercare advice for the 4 to 8 weeks before your Perfecting Touch Up. Please be respectful of our time. We reserve the right to refuse service for arrivals more than 20 minutes late without notice, no-shows or multiple cancellations.

Is the Nano Brows service painful?

Iconbrows Nano Brows is virtually painless. Many clients, including those who have had PMU elsewhere, comment on how easy and comfortable the entire procedure is. Most clients experience little to no pain as we apply a gentle but effective topical anesthetic. Because it is a cosmetic tattoo some individuals may feel minor discomfort, but we take every precaution to keep you comfortable throughout.

Will my eyebrows look really dark right after Nano Brows?

Your eyebrows may look darker or slightly swollen for the first day or two, but most clients return to their daily activities right away. The new color will look darker and more defined for the first 7 to 10 days. Color lightens toward the end of the week as your brows heal and any scabs fall off. Brows start to shrink within 4 to 7 days depending on your skin type. Although the healing process can be as quick as 9 to 14 days, we recommend waiting a full month for the pigment to fully settle before finishing your brows at the Perfecting Touch Up. Full aftercare instructions are provided at your appointment.

Yes! Our skilled brow expert has mastered designing customized brows that follow your natural hair growth for the most natural and beautiful results. Results do depend on your skin type. If you do not meet the ideal candidate parameters, results may be less than optimal. We will always discuss this openly and we will not deny a service purely on this basis if we both agree the outcome is still better than no brows.

Who is not a good candidate for Nano Brows?

Less ideal candidates include: Those with severely oily skin and enlarged pores, as lines may blur and fade faster Anyone who has recently had botox, injectables, cosmetic procedures or surgery Those with significant scar tissue in the brow area, as scars do not absorb pigment as well and fade faster Those with acne-prone skin Those taking blood-thinning medications or high doses of supplements (please disclose your full medical history before your procedure) Even if you have some of the above, that does not automatically disqualify you. Results may not be optimal but can still be better than no brows. Most studios turn these clients away, but with a skilled technician we can still work with many of these situations. We will always be honest about expected outcomes and recommend the best option for your individual case.

What is the Perfecting Touch Up and do I need it?

The Perfecting Touch Up is the second part of your eyebrow transformation, done 4 to 8 weeks after the initial session once your brows have fully healed. During healing the pigment may scab, darken, lighten and shed. The Touch Up addresses any uneven areas and locks in a perfect, long-lasting result. It is also the opportunity to refine shape, adjust size or add definition based on how you feel about your healed brows. Without the Perfecting Touch Up your new brows will fade much faster.

The difference comes down to technique. A machine needle deposits pigment into small punctures rather than incisions, so the strokes stay more defined over time and are more resistant to the natural oils your skin produces. The result holds its crispness longer between touch-up sessions.

The result is more defined and makeup-like, lighter at the front and gradually deeper toward the tail. A combination technique blends both, adding hair strokes at the front and soft shading through the body and tail. If you want a result that looks like real hair, Nano Brows is the right fit. The Nano Brows service at Iconbrows is CAD $700 and includes the initial session plus one complimentary Perfecting Touch Up. A $100 deposit is required to secure your appointment, which goes toward the total. Optional follow-up services are also available for returning clients. A Client Re-Touch and Boost for previous Iconbrows clients is $300, and a New Client Cover-Up or Correction for those with existing PMU from another studio is $900. Appointments are by booking only. In many cases, yes. Nano Brows can be applied over faded or partially healed microblading, and our Cover-Up and Correction service is designed specifically for clients coming from another studio. Very dark or unevenly healed old microblading may limit results or require additional sessions. If you have existing microblading or any brow PMU from another studio, please contact us before booking so we can assess your situation and recommend the right path forward.

We do not perform Nano Brows or any PMU service during pregnancy or while breastfeeding. This is standard practice across reputable studios for several reasons. Hormonal changes during pregnancy and nursing can affect how your skin retains pigment, leading to unpredictable colour results. Increased skin sensitivity can change how you respond to the numbing agent and the procedure itself. Brow mapping accuracy can be affected by facial swelling that is common during pregnancy. We recommend waiting until you have finished breastfeeding and your hormones have had time to settle before booking. We are happy to answer questions in the meantime and hold a consultation when you are ready.
