Lash lifts are the solution for over-tired, short or damaged lashes. They create beautiful curls without damaging your natural lashes, and require very little maintenance, making them a great alternative to extensions.

Does a Lash Lift hurt?

Not at all. Your eyes are closed for the entire treatment and although it may feel a little strange not opening them for the time, it offers a chance to relax. Bring your music if you want some peace and quiet, or have a nice chat with us while we work.

Can I wear mascara after a Lash Lift?

Accepted Answer

You can wear mascara and makeup only after 24 hours. By then your lash lift shape is set and will stay curled through water and heat.

For the first 24 hours, use cold water to gently clean the eye area. After that you can take hot showers, go to the sauna, and your lashes will be fine.

Who is not suitable for Lash Lifts?

Accepted Answer

Very short or sparse lashes, where the lift effect is harder to notice. If you cannot lie still, are claustrophobic, or cannot keep your eyes closed for up to 60 minutes. If you constantly rub your lashes or sleep face down into your pillow. If you suffer from chronic dry eyes. Not recommended during radiotherapy / chemotherapy (wait at least a year from your last treatment). If you recently had blepharoplasty, Lasik or other relevant procedures, consult your healthcare professional first.

How do I take care of my lifted lashes?

Within the first 24 hours, keep your lashes away from water and sweat, avoid eye makeup, hot steamy showers and saunas, oil-based creams near the eyes, and strong eye makeup removers. Do not wear waterproof mascara, as removal requires more force that can weaken your lashes. Do not rub or play with your lashes. If irritation occurs, rinse with cool water and apply a clean cold pad. Do not sleep on your lashes, especially in the first 24 hours, as it can bend and set them.

How long does a Lash Lift last, and how often should I book?

A lash lift lasts 6 to 8 weeks on average, depending on your natural lash growth cycle and how well you follow the aftercare guidelines. Some clients notice the curl softening slightly sooner if they use oil-based products near the eyes or sleep face-down. We recommend coming back every 6 weeks. Going sooner does not give your lashes enough time to recover between treatments and can lead to dryness or weakening over time.

What is the difference between a Lash Lift and Lash Extensions?

A lash lift works on your own natural lashes, curling and lifting them from the root. Nothing is added. The result looks natural, lasts 6 to 8 weeks, and requires very little upkeep. Lash extensions apply individual synthetic lashes on top of your natural ones for a fuller, more dramatic effect. They typically need infill appointments every 2 to 3 weeks, cost more over time, and require careful daily maintenance. Lash lift: natural look, lower cost, low maintenance, no infills needed. Lash extensions: fuller and more dramatic, higher ongoing cost, regular infills required. If you want to enhance what you naturally have with minimal effort, a lash lift is the ideal choice. If maximum volume and length are the priority and you are comfortable with regular upkeep, extensions may suit you better.

Does a Lash Lift damage your lashes?

When performed correctly by a trained technician using quality products, a lash lift should not damage your natural lashes. The formula we use is keratin-infused and designed to condition while it lifts. Damage is most likely to occur if treatments are done too frequently, if the solution is left on too long, or if aftercare is not followed. Waiting the full 6 weeks between appointments and keeping your lashes nourished with a lash serum in between is the best way to keep them healthy.

Can I shower, swim, cry, or work out after a Lash Lift?

For the first 24 hours after your treatment, keep your lashes completely dry and avoid anything that causes moisture or heat around the eye area. This means no showers, swimming, saunas, sweaty workouts, or crying if you can help it. The lift is still setting during this window. After 24 hours: normal showers, light exercise, and steam are all fine. Swimming: fine after 48 hours. Wearing goggles in the pool or ocean can help protect the lift long-term. Workouts: light activity is okay after 24 hours. Avoid wiping sweat directly across your lashes. Crying: occasional tears after 24 hours will not ruin your lift, but heavy or prolonged crying right after the treatment can affect how the curl sets.

Do I need the tint, or can I just get the lift?

Accepted Answer

The lift alone will curl and open your eyes beautifully. However, we highly recommend adding the tint. A large portion of the natural lash, especially toward the tip, is often light-coloured or even blonde. The tint darkens the full length of the lash, making them appear significantly longer and thicker without any mascara. Our standard service includes the tint because the combined result is so much more impactful. If you prefer to skip it, we do offer a Lash Lift Only option. Can I get a Lash Lift while pregnant or breastfeeding?

We recommend consulting your doctor or midwife before booking if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. The treatment uses a chemical lifting solution applied near the eye area, and while the exposure is minimal, we always prefer you get clearance from your healthcare provider first. If your provider is happy for you to proceed, please let us know at booking so we can take any extra precautions. Your comfort and safety are always the priority.

How much does a Lash Lift cost at Iconbrows?

Our Lash Lift + Tint is CAD $120 and includes the tint at no extra charge, with a $30 deposit required to secure your appointment. The service takes approximately 45 to 60 minutes. We also offer a Lash Lift Only at $100 and a Lash Tint Only at $30 if you only need one part of the treatment. Combo packages with brow threading are available as well. If you are travelling from downtown Toronto, take the QEW highway toward the airport, then take the Lakeshore off-ramp and you will arrive right in front of our building. If you are travelling toward downtown Toronto, take the QEW highway toward the city, take the Park Lawn off-ramp and turn right after Legion Road. FREE underground parking is available.

The lift alone will curl and open your lashes, but most natural lashes are light or blonde toward the tip, so the lifted curl can look pale without a tint. Adding the tint darkens the full lash length and makes the result look much more defined and finished without any mascara. Keep lashes dry for the first 24 hours after the appointment. After that, the lift and tint are fully set and hold through water, steam and sweat. There are no ongoing restrictions, which is one of the main practical advantages over extensions.
