Henna Brows is a botanical brow treatment that uses plant extracts and natural dyes instead of harsh chemicals to colour both the skin and the hair in one step, for a beautiful, natural-looking brow without pencils or powders.

Our natural henna tinting is a highly concentrated, pure henna paste that produces a long-lasting semi-permanent tint. It contains no ammonia or peroxide, conditions the brow hairs and encourages new hair growth, and is excellent for resistant grey and white hairs.

Iconbrows Henna Brows lasts up to 2 to 3 weeks on the skin and 6 to 8 weeks on the hairs, depending on your skin type and hair growth. Oily skin can fade faster, while dry skin may flake sooner, both helped with the right aftercare.

Yes. Henna only colours the epidermis and does not reach lower layers of skin. If you have used henna for a long time it may take a few weeks for your natural skin colour to return fully.

About 45 to 60 minutes. First the natural brow is measured and sketched for symmetry, then filled and shaped with a warm henna paste that is left on for 5 to 20 minutes depending on the look you want.

For 24 hours after treatment, avoid heat (including sun tanning) and getting the brow area wet. To make your brow henna last longer, avoid oil-based products. Avoid scrubs and exfoliants on the brow area.

The skin tint typically lasts 2 to 3 weeks, while the colour on the hairs holds for 6 to 8 weeks. How long it stays on the skin depends on your skin type: oilier skin tends to fade a little faster, while drier skin holds the tint longer. Using oil-free products in the brow area and following aftercare instructions will help you get the most out of both.

Henna Brows at Iconbrows is CAD $100, taxes included. That covers the full treatment, from shaping and symmetry mapping through to the henna application. A $25 deposit is required at booking to secure your appointment. We are by appointment only, so book online in advance to choose your preferred time.

Henna Brows are generally very well tolerated. The formula contains no ammonia or peroxide and is made from plant-based ingredients derived from the Lawsonia Inermis leaf. That said, brow henna does contain PPD (para-phenylenediamine), which can trigger a reaction in a small number of people. We recommend a patch test if you have sensitive skin, a history of skin allergies, or have never had a henna treatment before. Please let us know when you book and we will arrange it ahead of your appointment. We cannot make medical guarantees, so if you have any concerns, consult your healthcare provider before booking.

They solve different problems, and many clients love having both on the menu. Henna Brows add colour. The henna pigment tints the hairs and skin to fill in gaps, improve shape symmetry and give a fuller, defined look without makeup. Brow Lamination reshapes. A gentle perming solution lifts and sets the brow hairs in place, taming unruly or downward-growing hairs for a brushed-up, fluffy finish. If your main concern is colour, sparse patches or brow shape, henna is the right choice. If your hairs grow in the wrong direction and you want that groomed, sculpted look, lamination is the better fit. Henna brows are a popular choice for sparse brows because the skin tint fills in gaps and bare patches between the hairs, making brows look naturally fuller without anything permanent.
